2 Weeks Left: Your Priority Actions for the Tax Deadline

Siam Advice FirmTax Analysis

We are now in the two-week countdown. If your documentation is ready, this is the week to finalize your return. If you haven't started, you are officially in the "critical zone."

Priority 1: Finalize Your Net Taxable Income

Run your numbers one last time. Ensure you haven't missed any deductions like Social Security or insurance premiums. Every 1,000 THB in deductions at the higher tax brackets could save you hundreds in cash.

Priority 2: Coordinate with Your Spouse

In Thailand, you can file jointly or separately.

  • The Rule: Usually, if both spouses have significant income, filing separately is cheaper because it keeps both people in lower tax brackets.
  • The Exception: If one spouse has zero income, filing jointly allows the "active" spouse to claim a 60,000 THB spouse allowance.

Priority 3: Check Your E-Filing Access

Don't wait until the 31st to find out you've forgotten your password for the RD Smart Tax portal. Log in today just to ensure your account is active and your personal details (address, bank account for refund) are correct.
