6 Days Left: A Final Review of Your Tax Numbers

Siam Advice FirmTax Analysis

With 6 days remaining, it is time for a "reality check" on your numbers. The Thai Revenue Department’s systems are designed to find discrepancies between what you report and what others report about you.

The Three-Way Reconciliation

Ensure these three numbers match perfectly:

  • Your e-Filing Return: The numbers you type into the portal.
  • Your Form 50 bis: The numbers reported by your employer.
  • Your Bank Statements: The actual cash received (plus the tax already withheld).

Red Flag Check: Personal Allowances

If you are claiming a spouse or child allowance, ensure their Tax IDs (or ID numbers) are correct. Inconsistent dependent data is a primary reason for a tax return to be "held" for further investigation.

Proactive Accuracy

If you find a discrepancy today, you have time to call your HR department or bank to get a corrected statement. Correcting an error before submission is a minor task; correcting it after the Revenue Department flags it is a long, stressful process.
