Making the Case for Each Role

Because positions are judged on technical necessity, your application should tie every requested foreign role to the project itself: which machine, system, or product line the expert will run, what a qualified Thai candidate cannot yet do, and how the knowledge will be transferred to Thai staff over time. A role justified by the project plan is approved; a role justified only by head-office preference is not.

 

Ongoing Obligations

Approval is the beginning, not the end. Promoted companies are expected to report on their operations, train Thai deputies toward key roles, and keep the conditions of the promotion certificate current as the business evolves. Families benefit too—spouses and children of foreign specialists can generally be sponsored as dependents, which makes recruiting senior experts considerably easier.
